1989

Shizuoka
We opened the Corning Shizuoka Plant in 1989, Asia’s very first LCD glass substrate manufacturing plant.

2000

Shanghai
Corning Environmental Technologies’ wholly owned emissions control substrates plant, is a state-of-the-art, high-tech facility that provides products and services to Corning customers around the world. In addition to manufacturing advanced substrates, it also includes sales, marketing and engineering operations that provide world-class service to Corning customers.

2001

Tainan
In 2001, as the LCD industry in the region grew, we founded Corning Display Technologies Taiwan (CDTT), the first LCD glass substrate supplier to locate a manufacturing operation in Taiwan.

2004

Taichung
In 2004, we founded our plant in the Central Taiwan Science Park in Taichung, we provide a reliable source of high-quality LCD substrates, local supply infrastructure and market-leading technology that assures client satisfaction.

2007

Beijing
Corning is growing with the developing TFT-LCD industry in China. Commercial operations have been established in Shanghai and Beijing and in 2007.

2009

Osaka
In 2009 we opened the Sakai City Plant for the manufacture of Generation 10 glass substrates. Our plants have always delivered world-leading innovative glass products.

2011

Jiangsu
In 2011, Corning Incorporated announced to locate the new Life Sciences manufacturing and distribution facility in the Wujiang Economic Development Zone.

2012

Pune
In 2012, with its investment of over $100 million, Corning established a state-of-art optical fiber manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune which further confirms Corning’s commitment to India’s connected future.

2017

Hefei
Our Hefei plant will manufacture the world’s largest and most technologically-advanced glass substrates so far, enabled by Corning’s proprietary fusion-draw process, and lead the industry in the manufacture of TFT-LCD panels for the large-size televisions.

Chongqing
As a world-leading supplier of glass substrates, Corning Display Technologies consistently develops new-generation sizes and reduced glass thicknesses to meet emerging product needs of TFT-LCD industry.
