Day to Day Responsibilities:


•           Ensure timely and correct project costing and assets accounting by working with project team, US MTE controller and CSS-A team

•           Work with CSS-A and CSCL finance team to ensure correct and timely accounting activities and smooth month-end closing

•           Work closely with project team to prepare monthly project costing report and forecast

•           Review and approve purchase requisitions, ensure timely payments to domestic and oversea vendors, as well as employees

•           Participate the forecasting & budgeting process

•          Control and manage plant financials such as cost accounting, inventory, fixed assets, etc.

•          Provide financial support to plant activities, such as cost reduction and various plant projects

•           Communicate to project area owners/departments on a regular basis

•          Communicate and interpret financial data for the Plant Manager and staff.  Provide them with interpreted cost reports on a regular basis

•           Ensure compliance with Corning internal control policies and procedures, and China statutory requirements in Tax, Treasury, Custom, foreign currency, etc.



•          Strong Finance/Accounting Background, CPA is preferred

•          Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

•          6+ years’ experience in Finance function, with 2+ years’ experience in a supervisor role

•          Solid knowledge on finance management in a manufacturing environment,  working experience in multi-national manufacturing environment and project costing experience is a must

•          Working experience in Big 4 audit firm is preferred

•          Understanding of China regulatory agencies (tax, customs, foreign exchange) and how to conduct business in China

•          Fluent in Mandarin and English – Strong reading, writing and speaking/presenting
