Position Description                                                                                                        

 

 

Purpose of the Position:                                   

 

The person in this role will direct report to the HRM CDTHF.  In this role, HR Generalist will be partnership with plant to support talent management activities, organizational effectiveness and PWE initiatives. 

 

Day to Day Responsibilities: (must to fill)

  • Supporting CDTHF Plant leaders in the four pillars of strategic talent management process (acquisition, development, planning and recognition/rewards)
  • Support plant HRM with coordination of talent initiatives with talent in the plant to ensure the needs of the plant operations leadership are being met from a performance perspective
  • Identify and take action on any current talent gaps, deploy individual and leadership development programs and tools to build a talent pipeline for operations group; coach leadership in the review process to identify emerging and changing talent needs
  • Coordinate with business leaders to ensure optimization of performance management to support optimal individual and team performance
  • Know your talent; coach individual employees to achieve their potential and guide employees to fill organizational needs that align with their abilities and ambitions
  • Become a trusted partner of the business clients you support; work across business lines as needed.  Develop your own leadership presence; act with integrity and build trust-based relationship with the leaders and employees you support
  • Collaborates closely with HR colleagues to implement streamlined HR programs that drive standardization across Hefei while ensuring business partner needs are met
  • Build knowledge on organizational design process and work with HR peers to identify potential organizational design improvements to support our changing business environment and optimal performance
  • As needed, support employee relations initiatives & develop policy updates and communication plans in an effective and efficient manner
  • Establish and maintain a personal leadership presence as an HR expert, keeping a pulse of the organization and being seen as trust-worthy and credible
  • Lead or co-work with HR colleagues to initiate and deploy HR project
  • Closely work with COE (Recruiting/WD&L) to support business talent management

 

Performance Metrics:

  • Achievement of stated functional contribution metrics (to be defined)
  • Performance against HR budget in the plant
  • Percent favorable response of customers to business impact and HR service quality (CDTHF)
  • Climate Survey Results: Overall Results compared to past performance and Corporate Comparisons; Percent of employees indicating clear understanding of plant strategy, goals and objectives; Degree to which plant employees perceive they are being supported in their professional development
  • Voluntary turnover rate at or below stated goal
  • Succession plan hit rate for critical roles, number of ready now candidates
  • Key talent & critical skill retention – Achieve Targeted Percent retention rate of key talent
  • People Review – completion of defined talent management actions within stated time frames

 

 

 

Requirements: Education & Experience 

 

 

  • Bachelors degree and above in Human Resources, Business, or Labor Relations or equivalent qualification/experience
  • At least 5 years of HR experiences (generalist/specialist), especially in talent management topics
  • Knowledge of Labor Standard laws and policies
  • Manufacturing industry experience is plus
